Indian Rocks Beach is a designated Bird Sanctuary City and our town takes this designation to heart. Many locals volunteer regularly to protect our local birds and provide them with the sanctuary they need to populate and thrive. As you head west over the Walsingham Bridge and into IRB, this will become apparent by the tall pole that you'll see on your right-hand side. This is a roosting area for our local Osprey that call IRB their home. You will also see this designation inscribed on the "Welcome to IRB Sign" at the entrance of the City. If you enjoy interaction with birds or would like to learn more about our local feathered friends, a visit to the Seaside Seabird Sanctuary is a must! If you're looking to interact and connect with other types of wildlife or animals, you'll want to peruse our Animal & Zoo directory for details about nearby attractions and experiences. Take some time to disconnect from the grid and reconnect with nature... you'll be glad you did!
